What am I required to do in this assignment?
You have been provided with an edited subset of data from the Office for National Statistics. The data on internet users was published on 6th April 2021 and covers the period from 2011 to 2020.   The research department of a university business school has undertaken some consultancy work for an internet provider in trying to understand internet usage across different sectors of the population.   As a Business student, you have been asked to investigate the following: Recent and lapsed internet users and internet non-users, by economic activity, from 2011 to 2020Recent and lapsed internet users and internet non-users, by low-level geographical locations (Wales and East of England) from 2014 to 2020Recent and lapsed internet users and internet non-users, by age group (years) and sex from 2013 to 2020 Suggested steps: Delete the sheets you do not need for the assignment. Gain an understanding of the data by exploring it and determining how the percentage tables are calculated. For each variable, analyse the trends over the period covered by the data.
Show the trends in a graphical form. Calculate appropriate statistics – e.g. measures of location and dispersion. Make relevant comparisons – e.g. between different economic activities, Wales and East of England, age and sex. Write the report – make sure you include all relevant charts/tables/statistics, etc. from your Excel file in your report, and base your discussion around these. Make sure you “tidy up” your Excel file before you submit it.   Notes: Your report MUST be based on the work you do in Excel. You will not get any credit for charts/figures in your report which is not generated/calculated in your Excel file.   Your Excel file MUST include relevant functions and formulae. Your charts MUST be generated in the Excel file you submit. Submit your report as a Microsoft Word document and your Excel file.
