Aim of Unit 10 Business Health Check

On successful completion of this unit a learner will:

LO 1 Understand the focuses of the business

This unit will give the basic idea about the current position of the organisation and will highlight priority list for the organisation. This learning will set an idea about the short medium and long term goal of the organization and will not let the organisation divert from their major focus points. This study will also give a brief idea about the upcoming factors external or internal which is going to affect the organisation along with that the organisation will also get to know the new opportunities which are going to come in the tourism market.

LO 2 Be able to develop plans for businesses

This unit will make the learner understand that to run a successful organization one must have to review the work done by the organisation in the past, so that the organisation will get an idea from the leanings of the past. To achieve a sustainable development the organisation needs to introspect its product and services day by day with the changing market. Along with product improvement the organization will have to market it aggressively so that it will attract the consumers. Apart from all of this the management of the organisation will have to look on their employees’ skills and their welfare so they should stay motivated and can work for the betterment of the organisation. This learning will also give an idea about the financial aspect of the organisation so that the management can manage the upcoming risks as well as they can plan the expansion of the organisation.

The management of the organisation must need to monitor and evaluate the performance of their employees, so that they can help their employees to gain more and more skills needed to survive in the competitive market. This introspection will help the organisation to grow so that they can achieve their long term goals. The management must have to build good   contacts in the market so that they can understand the changing behavior of the market.
