Aim of Unit 12 Physiological Principles for health and social care
This unit would focus on the idea that the body functions as a whole. It would stress on the notion that the body does not function separately though its anatomy and physiology but as a complete unit. It would discuss this idea from the point of view of provision of facilities which would help them socially and benefit their health. It would help in understanding the various organs in the body along with their location. This section would also cover how this knowledge would help healthcare professionals to provide their services. It would also discuss the purpose behind having the routine from the persons who are accessing the health and social care facilities.

LO1 Know the structure and functioning of the human body
Functioning and structure of the human body could be determined by the various anatomical features, systems, functioning, metabolism, growth, and interactions. The main anatomical would be constituted by determining features of limbs, head, abdomen and skeleton. Apart from those functions of blood cell, functions of ligaments and working of various organs like kidney and liver could also be taken into account. The overall study of functioning of each organ and body parts could be read in order to understand the functioning of the human body. The main functions and structures of body systems like reproductive system could help in better understanding about the system. Functioning could be understood by the way life is maintained and other activities like movements. Metabolism determines the nature of chemical and its activity in the body. Apart from that determine the rate of energy and metabolic changes in the body helps in determining metabolism. Cell growth would determine the abnormalities and functionality in relation to body structure. The digestion process and content of interactions determine interactions.
LO2 2 Understand the relationship between body functioning and relevant detailed anatomy and physiology
Relationships between functioning of body and anatomy could be determined by taking into account various topics. Such topics include activities performed every day, anatomy details, details about physiology, internal activities with its regulations and determining various parameters.
LO3 Understand how routine data collected in health and social care informs the planning of care for individuals
Planning for care could be done by collecting data from health and social care. Such data could be collected by measuring various observations, providing information as to measurements, determining the errors and its sources, measuring and observing the derived data from body, taking care in courses of health, and conditions which are ethical.
LO4 Be able to relate routine variations in body structure and functioning to care received by individuals.
Routine related to structure of the body and its functioning is an important part to follow. Such could be done through comparing the games and its changes, finding out the impacts and effects and determining the common disorders. Infections could also be encountered for better understanding of daily body functioning. Daily activities such as surgeries, in taking drugs and consequences of care also fall under the head of routine which could be considered on a daily basis.
