This unit focuses on the heritage and cultural tourism management and its importance in the hospitality industry. The learners will understand the concept of heritage and culture and its influence in the hospitality industry. The different organizations are involved in heritage which the learners will understand in detail. This unit will shed light on the growing importance of heritage and cultural management in recent times in the hospitality industry. With the advancement in hospitality industry heritage and cultural industry has thrived within the tours and travel industry. The heritage presents with the cultural background of the place and enhances the historical beauty attracting number of customers. With the growth of heritage and cultural industry the customers are attracted to scenic beauty and culturally rich place giving boost to the venues and transport industry The heritage presents the customers with natural scenery and artefacts with historical background like museums and sculptors. Heritage preserves the culture, region and language. However, it does have some conflicts too. The impact of tourism can cause environmental and technological issues.
