Aim of Unit 9 Tourism Destinations
Unit 9 Tourism Destination aims to give learners a basic idea about the main tourism destinations in the UK and worldwide. This unit is to help learners to understand the destination their social and physical behavior and their cultural aspects along with the different subjects of discussions which affects their popularity. This unit also helps the learners to understand the major tourism destinations in the UK and world in terms of number of tourists and the income generated by them. Thus by learning all these above factors and statistical data the learners will come to know about the factors which will affect the tourism so that they can work accordingly to keep the popularity of the destination.

The learners will come to know about the main tourism destinations in Europe and the world and the statistical data about the number of visitors and the revenue generated by the tourists in a particular destination. They will also come to know about the factors which will generate tourism in one particular region according to its potential like religious tourism, health tourism, adventure tourism and many more. By knowing all this data about the destinations the learner will get an idea about the upcoming tourism trends.

The understanding about the different aspects of the culture, social and physical aspect of the tourist destination will help to target a fixed section of tourists according to their taste of tourism.
